Homework

Wednesday, June 7, 2017

Dear Parents and Students,

Please keep READING over the summer!  This is important so that you do not lose the skills you have learned this year! Pick up some workbooks at a bookstore or department store on reading skills and use them over the summer too! Purchase ones at the grade level you just completed and also for the grade you will be in this fall! Practice dividing words into syllables, alphabetical  order, forming compound words and contractions this will be a good review!

It was a pleasure teaching all of you this year! We made great progress!

Have a HAPPY and SAFE SUMMER !  See you all in August when we’re back at school!

Sincerely,

Ms. K.

Important Dates

Note to Parents:  The more your child reads the better reader they will become now and in the future! I list the story we are working on for each grade on the website and the Homework Hotline. Reading to a parent nightly is OPTIONAL!  I told students that they can read to a  brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandparent, tutor, stuffed animal, pet, etc. Once we are finishing up that story they will again need to read to you and a form will go home with them that will need to be signed and returned. If you want your child to bring their reader home daily, that is up to you, just let me know your wishes.
