Just a reminder… AR for the 3rd quarter will end on Friday, March 24th   That’s 4 weeks away! Just a reminder… Have your child read this weekend for AR! They need to meet their goal! Tests are given during lunch recess and after school on Friday! AR points have increased for all students for the Quarter!

Grade 1:  

MORNING  GROUP:

Practice reading: pp. 142- 145 and Life in the Forest  pp. 146 – 159.

Workbook pp. 280 – 283 were assigned. Time was provided in class.   If your child has to finish, it is considered homework.

AFTERNOON GROUP:

Read pp. 142 – 145 and 142 – 145 and  Life in the Forest  pp. 146 – 159.

Workbook p. 281 – 283 were assigned.  Time was provided in class.   If your child has to finish, it is considered homework.

 

Grade 2:                       

When vocabulary words are given that day, students are to copy the definition from the board in class.  Then use that word in a sentence of their own and underline that word,

Read for practice:  Soil pp. 92 – 109.

Today’s vocabulary: materials, particles, substance.

Work Book p. 313  was  assigned   Time was provided in class. If your child has to finish, it is because their time was not used wisely, and it is considered homework.

Grade 3:             

Read for practice: pp, Rocks in his Head pp. 94 – 105.

Important Dates

Note to Parents:  The more your child reads the better reader they will become now and in the future! I list the story we are working on for each grade on the website and the Homework Hotline. Reading to a parent nightly is OPTIONAL!  I told students that they can read to a  brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandparent, tutor, stuffed animal, pet, etc. Once we are finishing up that story they will again need to read to you and a form will go home with them that will need to be signed and returned. If you want your child to bring their reader home daily, that is up to you, just let me know your wishes.

 

Students have been given their new AR log sheet for Third Quarter (3rd Quarter)

They can take AR test in the computer lab Monday – Friday during LUNCH RECESS ! and on

Friday AFTER SCHOOL until 2:50!

AR WILL END FOR THE Third (3rd) QUARTER ON FRIDAY, March 24th   That’s 4 weeks from today!
