Letter from the Principal

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!  I welcome back our returning families and welcome our new families!

I hope that all our new families and their children feel welcome.  Please call our school office if you have any questions or concerns. St. Lucy Parish Catholic School offers many opportunities for parents to get involved with their child’s / ren’s school.  We hope that you take the opportunity to find an area that interests you. We are always looking for volunteers to help out in the lunchroom, accelerated reader lab, as a room parent, or a tutor. If any of those areas might be of an interest to you, please call the office and we will get you in touch with the right person.

Join us for our EPIC event, which is a Fall Festival family night.  It is a night where you can visit with other parents and your child can play games, decorate a pumpkin, get his / her face painted, eat, and weather permitting, enjoy an outdoor movie.

This year we have a couple new teachers we have added to the staff. They will be joining our returning teachers to offer what I feel will be a strong educational team. We have spent time over the summer researching ways to improve the teaching of reading and vocabulary.

Our teachers and staff will once again be embarking on a faith-filled journey.  My prayer is that as they make this journey it influences how they interact with each other and with your children.

May you enjoy this school year and make new friendships.  If you should have any questions and/or suggestions please feel free to call me at 554-1801 ext. 212.
