The St. Lucy Library consists of reference, non-fiction and fiction books. Students are offered the opportunity to visit the library weekly for book selection and returns. Although there is no fine for late return of books, students are encouraged to keep books no longer than two weeks. Lost or damaged books must be replaced. The student will be assessed for the cost of replacement. Independent, recreational reading is an important element of education and parents are encouraged to use the public library often.
The bookmobile comes to St. Lucy Parish Catholic School on Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The students have an opportunity to check out and return books at that time.
There are many places around the city where books may be returned. It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure that books are returned on time.
